Granite is the natural stone that has been used both indoors and outdoors for centuries and promises longevity and naturalness. Its special resilience and hardness have even earned it a place in our everyday language - anyone who "bites on granite" is unable to overcome existing resistance. Granite is therefore a symbol of hardness and resistance. However, it is not only its structure that makes granite so well-known, but also its pattern. This is created by the three minerals in granite - feldspar, quartz and mica - which give granite its familiar "black and grey" appearance.
Due to their robustness and weather resistance, these stones are often used both inside and outside for a wide variety of projects and areas. Here we show you some areas of application for granites:
Granite can be used in a variety of ways in the home or in the house: whether as
Granite tiles in the bathroom, worktops in kitchens or as a washbasin in the bathroom or kitchen - this stone is ready for it.
Do you have areas in your home where you want particularly easy maintenance? This is exactly where you will find your master with granite tiles.
These stones impress with their appearance, durability and elegance.
You can also turn your outdoor area into something special with this stone. Whether large and rectangular or small and polygonal: granite slabs can follow any trend.
It doesn't matter whether you want to use the stone for the patio, as a wall for fencing, path, palisade, fence post, for window sills or to cover the base. This stone can also be used as a base under a barbecue or a stove in the garden. because they do not give in even under the most stressful conditions.
They say it's the inner values that count. Granite scores on two levels: With this product, both the inner properties and the appearance are right:
If you prefer a minimalist look, a granite stone in a simple color is suitable. If, on the other hand, you want to stand out, you can opt for a product with an exciting color gradient or a granite slab with a glitter effect.
Hardness: First of all, granite is very hard and resistant - as the saying "biting on granite" already shows. This is why granite has been a favorite for years when it comes to high-traffic areas of all kinds.
Natural product: Another advantage of granite slabs or granite tiles is that they are purely natural products. Due to their natural quarrying and purity, granites are hypoallergenic and free from any toxins.
Hygienic: They are also resistant to bacteria, which makes these stones a hygienic choice. If soiling occurs, the slabs can also be easily swept or cleaned.
But it is not only the hygiene and purity of granite that are among its extremely attractive attributes for indoor and outdoor use.
Strong on many levels: It is also a stone that is weatherproof and immune to fats and oils, heat and water.
Goodbye scratches: And if scratches appear? Then these can simply be brushed off - the natural stone does not have to lose its impressive appearance.

Sealed: If you choose a sealed granite stone in the form of tiles, you are opting for even more resistance, as sealed stones do not allow stains or any minimal discoloration.
Polished: Granite slabs can also be processed so that they have a polished surface, but then they can be slightly slippery. However, in interior areas, e.g. kitchen worktops, the polished version of the stone is a real eye-catcher.
Further information: If you wish, you can also have stones such as granite further processed. This allows you to achieve anti-slip properties or change the structure from coarse to fine-grained, making the stone even more stable. It can therefore be adapted to any of your projects.
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping - that's the trinity with natural granite. As you can see: Cleaning is easy here, there is not much to consider. Nevertheless, granite stone is also grateful for a little care. If you use a mopping care product for natural stone, you are doing something good for it (and its impregnation).
Speaking of impregnation: this protects your granite tiles and granite slabs from stains and prevents dirt and liquids from penetrating the stone. Stains are therefore prevented, as liquids of all kinds can simply be wiped off. And if more stubborn stains do occur, e.g. due to grease, you can quickly get rid of them with a normal basic cleaner.
Incidentally, we offer impregnation for kitchen worktops at the factory. And don't worry: this doesn't change the appearance of the surface - your worktop remains just as you chose it.
Granite in gray and black creates a monochrome and elegant look, but it can also do much more.
A Mediterranean flair is also possible, as this stone does not always have to be gray and black. The composition and origin of granites from Finland or Karelia, for example, also allow for a warm brown or red - making it suitable for many projects.
No matter which color you choose, whether "black and grey" or light - the natural stone harmonizes perfectly with other natural materials such as wood or metal.
The use of granite tiles or stone is generally suitable wherever high loads are to be combined with simple elegance.
All in all, the desire for durability does not mean sacrificing an attractive appearance. Variety is the characteristic that best describes granite, consisting of feldspar, quartz and mica.

If there were a competition to see how often which rock occurs on earth, granite would be number 2 on the winner's podium, with only basalt being more common.
Granite deposits can be found all over the world, most frequently in high and low mountain ranges - and therefore also in Germany, for example.
The Latin name is "granum", meaning "grain", and refers to the granular structure of granite. This is always clearly visible and is also known as "salt and pepper grain".
Extracted from quarries (for centuries)
Granites are also used to make whiskey stones (stones that are used instead of ice cubes and have the advantage that they do not water down the taste)
Granites are deep/hard rocks. But what does that tell you? It shows you that this rock is formed in the earth's crust - at a depth of 2 km. This happens when molten rock (magma) rises from a depth of over 20 km and then solidifies.
This process of magma, its ascent and subsequent solidification takes several million years. Quite a long time, isn't it?
Quartz, feldspar and mica - these are essentially the three minerals that make up the natural stone granite. And these, in combination with the processing and quarrying method, also determine its properties.
