David Weinhappl, customer consultant at stone4you<\/b>My favorite stone is Patagonia. The name comes from the mountainous landscape that runs through Argentina and Chile. In fact, the stone has a lot in common with the mystical region at the tip of South America, famous for its extremes. The roughness of the elements, the clear light of the south, the hardness of the rocky peaks amidst the glaciers, all this can be found in Patagonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each panel is like a fascinating painting. <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

This natural stone, which belongs to the pegmatite family of rocks, is quarried in north-eastern Brazil. The composition of its minerals is similar to granite and it is correspondingly hard and resilient. Pegmatites were coveted by miners because of their rare mineral components. Particularly pure minerals were even sold as gemstones in jewelry stores. <\/span><\/p>\n

What do I associate with this natural stone?<\/h2>\n

I associate Patagonia with luxury and elegant design. The impressive crystal parts are reminiscent of the rare mineral rock crystal - a rarity in alpine heights. For me, this natural stone has a soul and an almost magical effect. <\/span><\/p>\n

Patagonia looks particularly spectacular in combination with light.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

What I particularly like about it:<\/h3>\n

The contrasts that nature has created with the black, golden yellow and light beige crystals are unique. If you run your hand over its surface, you can feel the different elements of the stone. This makes Patagonia an experience for all the senses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The high proportion of translucent, translucent crystals is particularly fascinating. Patagonia looks particularly precious when backlit and immediately attracts everyone's attention.  <\/span><\/p>\n

What I recommend it for:<\/h3>\n

Whether as a washbasin, shower splashback or as a \"mural\" in the form of a large-format panel - Patagonia is an absolute eye-catcher in any form. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hard stone can be used in many different ways and is extremely robust and acid-resistant. It can therefore be used in the kitchen and bathroom without hesitation. The beauty of the stone is at its most vibrant with a polished surface. Patagonia is particularly effective between calm, plain-colored materials and in combination with wood. <\/span><\/p>\n

Patagonia is not an off-the-peg building material. Each raw board is a precious one-off and has a unique pattern. <\/span><\/p>\n

We therefore recommend choosing your favorite stone in person on site. <\/span><\/p>\n
